I loved the cover. The way that Rapunzel came to Melisande and her name was new while staying within the fairy tale frame work. The ball is what I looked forward to and was disappointed that it was basically nonexistent.

I do love the background work Dokey puts into it but I don’t think it’s too much to ask to put the guys earlier into the story. I came across this book. What makes this book different from other books that I have read is that Cameron Dokey is able to take familiar and popular fairy tale stories like Cinderella, Mulan vameron Rapunzel and she creates a new story, background and identity for each of the characters that is different than the one story of each fairy tale that everyone knows.

Portraying Cendrillon’s stepfamily as a sympathetic unit that eventually forms a strong bond with the heroine is probably the greatest contribution Camwron makes to the story, and it’s certainly more poignant and real than her eventual romance.

Again, I liked it; mostly because of the writing style I think Try the Kindle beforre and experience these great reading features: As a fairytale retelling this really scratched the itch once I managed to forgive its overly stylized, flowery writing. I odkey like the Prince, but there just wasn’t time for me to love him like I wanted to. They planted watermelons and gigantic pumpkins grew. But before he abandons her for king and court, he brings a second child to be raised alongside befoe, a boy whose identity he does not reveal. I wasn’t mixnight perfection but something more than what we are left with. I loved how the story was about the power of love; not just the romantic love at first sight kind, but love that makes the world go around.

While the ending was still the same, Cendrillon married a prince and lived happily ever after, but there was so much camdron to the message than just marriage. Seriously, how often does fiction do that?
