The H is slightly nice given the fact of his culture and what he is allowed to do and he doesn’t even though he can but I have absolutely no idea how the h can live in this type of culture.
Found this when I was in middle school and have read it so many times it’s falling apart. Books by Patricia Grasso. It was pretty funny at times but it also tended to be annoying. He would give her luxury beyond her wildest dreams, tenderness, passion. Needs an edit, but since it was published in I don’t think it will get one.

Weary with the same old routine, I decided I needed a creative outlet. It’s a romance novel and a good one at that This was my first “adult” romance novel. If anyone has it let me know. I had to remind myself of the time period and the culture.
Yes, I realize this is a brutal and violent dewert, and I went with the flow for a while. Was certainly not in mood for this. Unfortunately, I got only one out of three in this story. I absolutely love this book I was a sophomore in high school when I read this. Believing in happily-ever-afters I’m a dog person. But Dwsert Beg could not give up his English “wildflower”. The plot has a little mystery, a little intrigue and I enjoyed the interaction between the hero and heroine.
The one thing she was sure of was that capture would bring a fate worse than death.

Grasso does this very well in all her novels and this one is not an exception. The story and time period is pretty barbaric and brutal. Having said that, i will say this author is beyond talented, I genuinely can say that for most you will be captivated by her writing and just enjoy the way she has of pulling you inside her stories. The H at the very end sort of gave in and that showed that he really loves the h. She would be his instrument of revenge on the hated Comte de Beaulieu.
This book is pateicia of a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Therefore, Heather is the bright spot in this book for me. While, vengeance can be sweet, love, respect and HEA is sweeter. The hero was too cruel and heartless for me. My usual television fare is fiction and nonfiction crime shows, not love stories. Thats why I feel if I read this years ago instead I wouldn’t be affected by that. I made every mistake known to man.
