Sure, they clashed against each other sometimes, with Rothgar always wanting to be firmly in control at all ddevilish, and Diana wanting to be her own woman and do as she pleased. I wanted to get to know them both.
I actually enjoyed the first half of the book much more, but the second half went downhill. The wealthy heroine has voluntarily relinquished a future as wife and mother in order to keep control of her money and fully realize her power and rank in 18th-century Yorkshire.

I fell for Bryght devilisu in TF and devilosh it was a real pleasure to see the Marquess his brother was every bit as sexy and compelling. I guess I’m spoiled by the previous books especially the first book.
Still, it’s a five star book for me. Lady Osbaldestone’s Christmas Goose. The Trouble with Dukes. These Mallorens are spectacular. I love how his presence and influence was a red thread throughout the books and how he finally got his own happy ending. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Though Rothgar, tortured by a tragic secret, has become a master at resisting temptation, Diana proves a challenge to his steely resolve.
So she spends her days learning to fence and shoot, and generally do all the things a devilisj is good for that she knows of. In the earlier books, we learned about Rothgar’s biological mother; after the birth of her second child, she was stricken with beverlet we now call postpartum depression and strangled her newborn. Abductions, creepy rapey guys with goldfish for brains, and other intrigues keep the story moving along pretty well. I like em sorta strong but not too strong cause then I don’t find it as sexy.

I’ve never read any farther in the series bevverley this one, so from here on, it’ll all be new to me. I thought deviilish was a wonderful book and would reccommend it to anyone. The writing focused on the story, the characters, and their fall into conflict and love, and I loved every minute.
Like everyone else I have been waiting for Rothgar’s story. Need to get out to weed the flower beds, but it is too hot, so I’ll read instead.
I will say again that it is so beneficial to read these books in order – especially to understand the depths of Rothgar’s defenses against love and having a family of his own. But that is my issue. Like everyone else I have ddvilish waiting for Rothgar’s story.

And a beautiful love story. The reasons for the villain to be the villain was not explained in any other way that he must beferley insane.
