To gtay about the School of the Possible, your journey starts here. This book is the result: In fact it’s probably a good idea if you never refer to these techniques as games or gamestorming. Although I am deferring judgment until I have at least given this portion of the book a chance to redeem its whole, I remain uninspired gaamestorming dubious.
Although the long lists of games makes the book quite dry to read from cover to cover, it remains a good introduction to gamestorming and a useful list of recipes and building blocks before building your owns games. Recommended reading for all people who run workshops over and over again I distract one star because they leave me a little bit confused. Bonus star for inspiring me to sketch more see validation above. While many of the games described date back to the 60’s and 70’s, there are some more recently designed games.
The activities are extremly useful for all persons who have to facilitate workshops.
The main reason of scoring it as three is “repetition”, the info in the book could be presented in pages max. The School of the Possible can help you develop the innovation capability of your team or organization.
This book includes more than 80 games to help eave break down barriers, communicate better, and generate new ideas, insights, and strategies. Great things don’t happen in a vacuum.
Preview — Gamestorming by Dave Gray. The remaining vast majority of the book is a list of games that teams can play to generate, categorize and prioritize new ideas. Most people do not need instructions on how to draw a cat or stick figures – if they do, then some of the other games that focus on modes of communication other than visual ought to be sourced.
Only the perversely naked would go through them all, like a badly thumbed and crinkled old Playboy–which has more value. Overall this is an OK book as a book, and a great catalog if you are looking for new exercises.

Difficult to read as it’s very dry. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Sunni was trained in graphic facilitation at The Grove Consultants International, a San Francisco-based company that pioneered the use of visuals in meetings and group processes.

I felt it wasn’t for “Innovators, Rulebreakers and Changemakers” so much as for managers, plain and simple. A book that is an amazing reference dabe gamers. In reality, teams that have been together a little too long, fall easily into brainstorming ruts.
Learn how to engage people in your project, to get better traction and move more quickly with groups, to make things happen and get better, faster decisions and results. This is kinda brilliant since it gamestormnig a formal structure to a meeting without being too formal, plus it gets all participants informed on goals and process of a meeting ahead of time.
Really awkward to read as an e-book on my phone, but my paper copy is a great reference to take to meetings. It contained some interesting methods for brainstorming.
